There are 3 distinct systems of versification used in this volume: First, the system found in the 1852 edition published by the LDS mission president in Liverpool, England , second, the system developed for the 1879 publication produced by the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah, and third, the system developed for the 1908 edition of the Book of Mormon published by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, now the Community of   Christ, in Lamoni, Iowa.
